Saffron, which is obtained from the stalks and stigmas of the saffron crocus (Crocus sativus), is one of the oldest known and most valuable spices. Because of its characteristic taste and color, it has been used in various cuisines around the world for over 4,000 years. It has also always been valued for its health-promoting properties. In particular, saffron is known to contribute to a positive state of mind. Safran-LCS Biologisch from Vitals contains the high-quality extract Affron®. LCS stands for Lepticrosalides®, a patented complex of the most important active ingredients of saffron (such as safranal, crocin and picrocrocin). Both the cultivation of the unsprayed saffron and the production of the saffron extract take place at the manufacturer Pharmactive in Spain. As the entire production chain takes place in-house, ideal growing conditions can be ensured and quality guaranteed. The manufacturer also has DNA tests carried out (for good reason!) by an external party to further confirm that Affron® is made from 100% real saffron.
