Herzformel Pro contains a broad spectrum of active ingredients and thus offers optimal daily support. It is a carefully composed formula based on orthomolecular findings.

For example, it contains vitamin B1 (thiamine HCl), which has a positive effect on the heart. As a coenzyme, vitamin B1 (thiamine) is essential for the production of energy from carbohydrates. As the heart is mainly dependent on carbohydrates for its energy supply, this vitamin supports the normal function of the heart.

Vitamin B12 is required in the form of methylcobalamin so that 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF, the biologically active form of folate) can convert homocysteine into methionine. In this way, vitamin B12 and folate together are good for homocysteine metabolism. After all, normal production and breakdown of homocysteine in the body is highly desirable. The vitamin B12 in this product consists of the two biologically active forms methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin (also known as dibencozide). In addition, a superior, biologically active form of folic acid is used: Quatrefolic®, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate bound to (vegetable) glucosamine salt. This is the most stable form of 5-MTHF in food supplements and offers the highest bioavailability. The advantage of these biologically active forms is that they are directly active in the body and do not have to be converted first.

Vitamin D3 has many functions in the body, including a role in calcium metabolism. Vitamin D also contributes to normal muscle function. And the heart is of course also a muscle.

The fat-soluble vitamin E is a very important antioxidant. It helps to protect the body’s cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals and thus contributes to the maintenance of healthy cells and tissue.

In addition to vitamins, Herzformel Pro contains other special nutrients such as propionyl-L-carnitine and acetyl-L-carnitine. Both are forms of the amino acid L-carnitine and have advantages over supplementing with L-carnitine alone. Acetyl-L-carnitine (also known as ALCAR) is the acetylated form and also the best known. The highest concentration of carnitine is found in the skeletal muscles and in the heart.

Alpha-lipoic acid is a sulphur-containing fatty acid that occurs naturally in the human body. Alpha-lipoic acid consists of a chain of eight carbon atoms to which two sulphur atoms are attached. The two sulphur atoms are connected to each other and form a ring structure. This ring structure makes alpha-lipoic acid soluble in both fat and water, an important property. Alpha-lipoic acid is a molecule that is found in the mitochondria of every cell.

Q10 is a nutrient that is also found in the mitochondria. The fat-soluble compound is also called ubiquinone, which loosely translated means “present everywhere”.

Last but not least, Herzformel Pro contains a generous dose of maritime pine bark extract. Maritime pine bark is naturally rich in phytonutrients such as proanthocyanidins (OPC). Maritime pine bark extract has an antioxidant effect and helps to protect cells and tissue from free radicals. It also has a positive effect on the blood circulation.
