When dealing with public advertising for injection lipolysis, and in particular with before-and-after pictures, caution is advised in that they may only be used privately, in front of a specialist audience or in one-to-one patient consultations without any problems.

Most German and Austrian liability insurance policies for medical professionals cover injection lipolysis if the treating physicians
are members of NETZWERK-Lipolyse and use our legally verified information forms.
However, a few medical malpractice insurers initially refuse to cover the costs. The reason given is usually that injection lipolysis is an off-label use.
