Note for physicians

The information provided here in no way replaces further information on the complete range of indications and treatment protocols. Our plannings are to offer videos-on-demand within the new Network Extended Medicine. Please contact us if you are interested.

The NETWORK-CRT provides information about an infusion therapy called Vita-Balance Kur. The active ingredient is phosphatidylcholine (PC), also known as EPL or essential phospholipids and lecithin. What kind of active substance is this? In medicine, a specific phosphatidylcholine group is often used, especially in solutions for infusion and parenteral injection. These phosphatidylcholines are mainly obtained from soybeans, are highly purified and free of all proteins. They are called polyenylphosphatidylcholine (PPC).
Also the PPC is not a single molecule, but a composition of different, predominantly highly unsaturated phosphatidylcholines (table by K-J Gundermann).

Composition of the PPC

PPC 94-96 %
Dilinoleoylphosphatidylcholine (DLPC) 40-52 %
Palmitoyl-Linoleoylphosphatidylcholine (PLPC) 23-24 %
Oleoyl-Linoleoylphosphatidylcholine (OLPC) 12-13 %
Linolenoyl-Linoleoylphosphatidylcholine (LnLPC) 6-7 %
Stearoyl-Linoleoylphosphatidylcholine (SLPC) 6 %
Palmitoyl-Oleoylphosphatidylcholine (POPC) 3-4 %
Stearoyl-Arachidonoylphosphatidylcholine (SAPC) 1-2 %

DLPC, the main active molecule of PPC, is unique in that it contains two bound linoleic acids. It is normally found only in trace amounts in the human body. Due to its two bound linoleic acids, each with two double bonds, it requires more space in membranes, thus increasing their fluidity and flexibility and positively influencing membrane dependent functions. We therefore call it a membrane therapeutic.

Indications

The first therapy department organized in NETWORK-Globalhealth was Department Lipolysis. One of the ingredients of the injection solution is phosphatidylcholine. Within the framework of research into the mechanisms of action of lipolysis, the members inevitably had to deal with this lecithin. In the course of more than 50 years of phospholipid research, it quickly became clear that countless studies and publications on the positive effect of PPC on cell membranes and mitochondrial membranes and thus on the influence of PPC on many different clinical pictures and impairments caused by membrane damage during the aging process were available. New publications are added on a weekly basis. If only studies of high quality are considered, the result is a comprehensive spectrum (table) of 1072 studies up to April 2017 (compilation K-J Gundermann).

It was also important to the members that there were virtually no side effects associated with the use of the active substance. In Germany, 2 drugs (Lipostabil N / fat embolism and Essentiale / liver) were approved for decades, which are still approved in many countries today. Unfortunately, for economic reasons, the manufacturers did not submit the necessary documents for European subsequent approval. Today, the same active ingredient for infusion is manufactured by pharmacies as a defective drug, so that many patients still benefit from the Vita-Balance Cure.

In addition to the many indications investigated, the members have also had very good experience with frequently occurring and age-related indications through the use of the therapy. In this respect, the cure is not limited to the above-mentioned clinical pictures, but can also be used very well for stress-related impairments, burn-out syndrome and age-related symptoms in anti-aging medicine.

Trainings

Vita Balance Cure is part of the NETWORK Extended Medicine. Contrary to our aesthetic approaches, which require intensive hands-on training, only the expertise of every physician is needed to create an infusion. Therefore we have decided to offer e-Learning lessons.

We have therefore taken a different approach to training, which endeavours to provide members with comprehensive information on the various indications.

In a lecture cycle, one of the world’s best-known specialists in polyenylphosphatidylcholine, Adj. Prof. Dr. Dr. Karl-Josef Gundermann, explains the effects in the individual indication fields. Click here for information on this distance learning programme. [LINK]
