Wrinkle treatment with filler

Patient information

Treatment of non mimic facial wrinkles and increase of volume by filler

The older the person, the more wrinkles adorn his face. Some wrinkles make us appear more attractive, cheerful and sympathetic, while others leave us with a tired, tense and often discontented facial expression. Many, however, do not feel as old as the existing wrinkles would suggest.

For this reason, the desire for a wrinkle treatment that produces a more positive radiance is more popular than ever among men and women.

Fillers belong to the trend of non-invasive treatments and have been very popular for several years. Today, wrinkle and volume fillers such as cross-linked hyaluronic acid, hydroxyapatite, autologous fat etc. represent a convincing alternative to a complex, surgical facelift.

A wide variety of wrinkles can be corrected with a filler injection. This is shown by the convincing results:

  • Nasolabial folds
  • Eye wrinkles
  • Puppet pleats
  • Lip wrinkles
  • Cheek formation
  • Straightening the chin line
  • Volume build-up of the lips

With increasing age and decreasing skin elasticity, the method of wrinkle injection with neuromodulators (Botulinumtoxin A, known as Botox®) and also with hyaluronic acid is suitable. The following mechanisms of action produce the desired appearance of a more relaxed, younger and yet natural facial expression. Botulinum prevents muscle contraction at the appropriate points, so that wrinkles are reduced and new wrinkles are prevented. Hyaluronic acid gives the skin new volume and smoothes out the corresponding wrinkles.

A combination of several therapies may be appropriate – known as face composition – such as reducing the frown line with botulinum, raising the cheek area by filling it with fillers and reducing the cheeks with injection lipolysis.

In an initial consultation, your doctor can provide information about the suitable method, its mode of action and duration of action as well as the expected result.

Biodegradable substances such as hyaluronic acid are low-risk to use, but have the disadvantage that the effect is not permanent. As a rule and depending on the skin condition of the patient, it lasts for approx. 12-24 months. After that, the treatment can be repeated if necessary.
