Why use ultrasound for aesthetic injections?

Vascular occlusions, necrosis and other vascular complications have significantly raised awareness of safe techniques in aesthetic medicine. Ultrasound allows real-time visualisation of relevant anatomical structures, particularly arteries, veins and tissue layers. This enables fillers to be placed precisely, risk areas to be identified and complications to be diagnosed and treated at an early stage. Both beginners and experienced users benefit from sonographic monitoring when using hyaluronic acid fillers, botulinum toxin and injection lipolysis.

Contents of the ultrasound training course for aesthetic treatments

  • Fundamentals of ultrasound application on the face with a focus on vascular pathways and safe injection zones
  • Ultrasound-guided injection techniques for hyaluronic acid fillers, botulinum toxin and injection lipolysis
  • Diagnosis and management of vascular complications, including the use of hyaluronidase
  • Treatment of complex areas such as the nose, temples, tear troughs and jawline

Practical training with mobile ultrasound devices

The course provides practical training in the use of modern, mobile ultrasound systems. Participants practise sonographic imaging of relevant structures, safe planning of injections and ultrasound-guided treatment of complications directly on a model.

Preparation through exclusive instructional video

For optimal preparation, all participants receive a structured instructional video in advance that clearly explains the physical fundamentals, device settings and systematic examination techniques.

Lecturer: Dr Christian Jacobi

Dr Christian Jacobi is a DEGUM-certified ultrasound user and a proven expert in sonographically assisted injection treatments in aesthetic medicine. As a lecturer at the Technical University of Munich, he has many years of experience in ultrasound-assisted filler placement and in the targeted treatment of complications with hyaluronidase. Together with Dr Lettko and Dr Michael Weidmann, he has played a key role in further developing anatomical ultrasound training for aesthetic applications.
