Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that has been around for over 50 years and therefore has a proven track record.

It first became known through its successful use in pain therapy.

Recently, it has been gaining increasing recognition among patients and doctors thanks to its success in aesthetic medicine. It can be combined with other aesthetic procedures and produces both immediate and long-term effects.

What happens during mesotherapy with Meso-Lift?

Injections containing skin-regenerating active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, a substance produced naturally by the body with a high water-binding capacity, or vitamins, minerals and amino acids are administered into the middle (meso) layer of the skin. These revitalise and tighten the skin, leaving it looking more radiant and younger.

A shallow penetration depth with micro-fine needles in combination with a special device – a mesotherapy gun (for treating larger areas) – reduces the pain of the injection to such an extent that only patients who are particularly sensitive to pain require superficial anaesthesia.

Mesotherapy treatment is performed on an outpatient basis and usually takes no longer than 30 minutes. After the treatment is complete, a protective cream is applied and the patient has virtually no downtime.

A major advantage of this procedure is that it is gentle on the skin and therefore causes minimal stress to the body, as it involves shallow injections and low doses of active ingredients. Mesolift is particularly suitable when wrinkles are still very faint. Areas of the face where the skin is very thin, such as around the eyes, as well as the neck, décolleté and back of the hands, can also be treated excellently with Mesolift. Other areas of application include skin damaged by sunbeds and a generally dull or coarse-pored complexion.

For a long-term effect, a series of 4-6 treatments at intervals of several weeks is recommended.

The method is considered safe and low-risk. Slight redness and swelling may occur in the treated areas. These usually disappear within a few hours. Minor bruising may occur as a result of the injection, but this heals quickly.

Allergy sufferers should be tested beforehand for the substances to be used.
