MesoHair: Treatment for hair loss – information for patients

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that has been around for over 50 years and therefore has a proven track record. It is a treatment method that combines the effects of medicinal and herbal active ingredients and vitamins with physical stimulation of the skin and/or acupuncture points.

It first became known for its successful use in pain therapy. Recently, it has been gaining increasing recognition among patients and doctors, also due to its successes in aesthetic medicine.

What happens during meso hair therapy?

Meso-Hair refers to a form of mesotherapy that is used for hair loss that is not caused by disease. In many cases, scalp problems are the cause of partial hair loss or thinning hair. The aim of the treatment is to stop hair loss and stimulate new hair growth. The necessary combination of nutrients and active ingredients is tailored to your individual needs, which is why each treatment is preceded by a medical consultation/anamnesis.

Through a barely noticeable puncture, the individually tailored combination of active ingredients is injected into the scalp affected by hair loss using an injection device – a meso gun. The active ingredient is distributed over the entire scalp area via diffusion processes.

This triggers intensive stimulation of the hair root repair mechanism via the blood and lymph circulation. Tissue purification and cell regeneration of the scalp are activated so that the active ingredients can reach their target location as quickly and unhindered as possible.

However, this procedure is only suitable if the hair follicle is not yet dead, so that the mesotherapeutic effect can take effect to initiate growth and revitalisation.

Revitalisation of the scalp cannot be achieved in a single treatment session. An individual therapy plan is created for each patient, which usually consists of 6-8 treatment sessions, with the intervals between sessions becoming increasingly longer. In most cases, visible results are achieved after the 4th-6th session.

After successful Meso-Hair treatment, maintenance therapy is recommended, which is agreed individually between the treating doctor and the patient.
