Overview of the department<\/h4>\n

We have not yet developed our own course on the therapeutic use of scents, this is still in progress. But there are freely available findings on the significance of scents. One of the world’s leading specialists is Prof. Dr. Dr. med. habil. Hanns Hatt, Ruhr University Bochum.<\/strong><\/p>\n

About him<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hanns Hatt was born in Illertissen in 1947. He first studied biology and chemistry at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, graduated in 1972 with the state examination and then wrote his doctoral thesis. In 1975 he began studying medicine at the same time. In 1976, Hatt was awarded a doctorate in zoology, and in 1981 he received his licence to practise medicine. Two years later, he also received his doctorate in medicine, followed by his habilitation in physiology in 1984. After a professorship at the Technical University of Munich, he has been Professor of Cell Physiology at the Ruhr University of Bochum since 1992. Since 2015, he has been President of the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities.<\/p>\n
